We arrived later in the day and we didn’t have enough time to see what the auto museum was all about. We were staying close by at the Welks Resort and decided to check it out one afternoon. If you’re curious about going here for wine tasting - don’t! Staff was friendly but didn't offer too much information. If you buy their wines, they discount the wine tasting. This wine held up pretty well and was very well balanced that I ended up leaving with a bottle of it. Was quite fruity and bold for a 2005 and it for being a Merlot. I did find one wine to be delicious - was the 2005 Merlot. We received a menu sheet describing the wines we were tasting but no one around to ask questions. We also didn't see the wine bottles these wines came from. We couldn't smell the wine varietals because their pours were very small. Was 5 wines to taste but they brought over each wine in a little shot glass. Then our server came out to get our order. We sat outside since there was a nice artificial water fountain by some tables. That was where the it got inconvenient for me. First, they suggested we find a desired place to sit and they'd bring over the wines we wanted to taste. As for the wine tasting experience, well, was so-so. As if they're trying to cash in on whatever they can. I thought was kind of cheesy to have a museum as an added attraction. At first I couldn't believe that they have a little car museum beside their tasting room.
